Larry Elliott: Complicit, but correct

advertisement

A rare example of a calm & considered look at the Northern Rock problem. All we need now is somebody to tell the shareholders to shut up and stop whining - as the saying goes "..the value of investments may go down as well as up". When you invest in a company, you take a risk that it will go bust, and I've no doubt that the shareholders were happy enough when dividends came in!
